While they had been GSD owners for a long time, Diana and her husband, John, didn’t start in Schutzhund until getting John’s dog Jato from Timberridge in 2017. A year later, Doreen imported a 10-week-old sable spitfire female from the Czech Republic and Diana was smitten. Freyja, also known as “French Fry” and “F-Bomb,” is an affectionate, silly girl off the field and all business on it.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but Freyja is a willing, forgiving partner for a first-time handler. She earned her BH-VT in 2019, IGP1 in 2020, and IGP2 and IGP3 in 2021. She also achieved the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title.

When not working dogs, Diana can usually be found behind the camera with her lens trained on some dog or another.
